I was reared in DeSoto Parish and opened my law practice in Stonewall in March 2008 focusing my practice on Oil & Gas Agreements and Litigation, Conveyance Services (deeds, donations & partitions), Estate Planning & Probate, Family Law and Personal Injury.

A Succession is the legal process under Louisiana law which transfers ownership of property from the decedent to his heirs and/or legatees. My role as an attorney is to guide my client through this process as quickly as is possible under the circumstances.
I look forward to preparing a will which accomplishes your goals regarding the distribution of your property upon your death.
I began my legal career in Lafayette, Louisiana with an insurance defense firm practicing Workers Compensation Defense and Auto Defense, representing employers in workers compensation claims and auto insurance companies insured’s in automobile accident claims. Now I represent the injured party.
I offer property conveyance services including cash deeds, title searches, acts of donation and in kind partitions, all inclusive of filing in the public record. I also offer partitions by licitation, but this service requires litigation.
I offer Estate Planning services including preparation of Wills, Trusts and Family LLC’s. Depending on your circumstances, one or all of the above services may be appropriate for you. I meet with you to discuss your particular circumstances and develop a plan to meet your needs.
At the end of your life, I offer services to transfer ownership of your property to your loved ones. My succession services include, Testate Succession (decedent dies with a will), Intestate Successions (decedent dies without a will), Successions under Administration (decedent’s succession is more complicated, requiring judicial oversight for the disposition of the estate), and, finally, disputed Successions, in the event there is a dispute regarding the decedent’s will or there are questions regarding the validity of any heirs inheritance rights or representation within the Succession. Attorney Lawyer in Mansfield. Attorney Lawyer in Stonewall. Probate Succession in Shreveport.
I offer family law services including adoption, divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support and community property partition.
My practice is focused on the representation of land owners and their interest. I represent land owners in negotiating oil & gas leases, drilling site location agreements and pipeline easement and right of way agreements. Generally, the standard oil & gas lease, drilling site damage release agreement and pipeline easement and right of way damage release agreements, as proposed by the company, is drafted heavily in the oil & gas company’s favor. Land owners need an advocate to work on their behalf to tip the scales back in their direction, limiting the rights granted in the agreement and reserving as many rights as possible for future negotiations. Land owners also need an advocate who remains in touch with current compensation being paid in this area for the rights being conveyed.
Finally, Land owners will require assistance when an operator fails to pay royalties timely, fails to pay royalties for the proper amount compared to the land owners ownership interest, or fails to comply with any provision of the lease agreement. Unfortunately, from time to time land owners will require assistance when an operator spills toxic materials on their property which results in damage to the land itself and movable property located thereon. When these events occur, I can assist the land owner in protecting his or her interest.
My mother and father had wills, do I need to do anything when they pass away? Yes. A succession is required, the legal process which transfers ownership of the decedent's property to the person (legatee) designated in the will.
